"A healer's power stems not from any special ability, but from maintaining the courage and awareness to embody and express the universal healing power that every human being naturally possesses."

Somatic Attachment Therapy connects knowledge of how the nervous system regulates the body and the basis of somatic defenses that are related to attachment insecurity. By recognizing defenses in the body, we can help clients change patterns and heal attachment wounds. With a combination of breath work and sensing bodily experiences, clients can heal trauma and emotional pain.
Play Therapy is used to support children in healing through their natural curiosity and exploration. It is used to support children's mental health and healing with a specific method of play.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short term (8 to 20 sessions) method based on attachment science. It is for individuals, couples, and families to help them feel more whole and to create healthful connections in relationships. It supports clients with emotional regulation and with healing interaction patterns that cause emotional pain.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a short term (1 to 5 sessions) evidence–based therapy that provides quick recovery. The treatment uses horizontal eye movements and a specific script to support clients in creating more positive memories and sensations related to their symptoms. Clients often report relief and improved symptoms after the first session.
I have worked in the counseling field for more than eight years. My experiences include working for non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting young children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Working with diverse populations and clients has given me skills to support clients from many different backgrounds and cultures.
I am dedicated to learning evidence-based practices to support my clients and my personal self growth. Some of the training courses and workshops that I have participated in include Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Focusing Oriented Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Social Justice, Trauma-Focused Somatic Experiencing, Mother-Infant Bonding, Nurturing Parenting, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma- Focused CBT, Sand Tray, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy. I am currently taking a Somatic Attachment workshop with some of the leading experts in the field of psychotherapy including Dr. Dan Seigel, Euphrasia Efu Nyaki, Dr. Peter Levine, Dr. Sue Johnson, and Dr. Diane Poole Heller. I believe that good therapists put in the work to do their own healing and growing, embody that healing, and continue on the path to heal. I am here to support you wherever you are in your healing.
